The Experimental Study for the Effect of the Bonding Strength of the Bone Cement by the Blood, Normal Saline, Synovial Fluid, and Antibiotics etc.

Abstract
The author performed an experimental study to measure the bonding strength of the bone cement in the various conditions of the bonding surfaces of the bones and of the different preservation of the bones, each in air and in 14¡ÆC Hartmann¢¥s solution.
The results were as follows:
1. 28% to 76% decrease of the tensile bonding strength of the bone cement was noted when the 75% alcohol or normal saline etc. was interposed between the contact surface Of the recipient bones.
2. 1% to 14 % decrease of the tensile bonding strength of the bone cement was noted when the gentamicin mixed bone cement was interposed between the contact surface of the recipient bones.
3. When the bonded bone was stored in Hartmann¢¥s solution the tensile bonding strength of the bone cement was reduced to 14% to 43% of the strength when stored in air.
